Day 1 Recap

Yesterday was the first time I was able to workout in over three weeks, and damn did it feel good. Training is being geared towards competing in the June 1st Spartan Race in Tuxedo, NY – the same one I did last year. This year I’m hoping to get into an early wave and compete for a top spot.

While I was recovering, I wrote up a plan which includes lifting six days a week with a different type of cardio each day. Yesterday consisted of the following:

  • Jump Rope – 5 mins
  • Flat Bench DB Press – 4 sets/15 reps
  • Incline Bench DB Press – 4 sets/15 reps
  • Decline Bench Smith Machine – 4 sets/15 reps
  • Push Ups – 4sets/failure
  • 1 Mile Run – 9:26
